On Saturday, December 13th, we invite you to join us for a complete hiking experience on Mount Hymettus. This circular route in the Aesthetic Forest of Kaisariani combines nature, history and relaxation, just a few minutes away from the center of Athens.

The route is of mild difficulty, circular, and starts from the Kaisariani Fire Lookout “Dimitris Karamolegkos”.

• Short stop at Kalopoula spring for rest
• Ascent to the cave-like chapel of the Ascension
• Descent to a botanical point of interest
• Stop at the surrounding area of the historic Kaisariani Monastery
• Passage through early-Christian monuments and Taxiarches Hill
• Completion of the route at the starting point
