Trekking With your Dog Metropolitan Park Antonis Tritsis

On Saturday 12/10, for the first time in the company of our four-legged friends, we will visit the Antonis Tritsis Metropolitan Park, to once again have a great time!

It is the largest Metropolitan Park of the basin with an area of 12,500 acres. We will make the perimeter of the total distance 7 km.

More generally, the landscape where the park is located moved Queen Amalia in the summer of 1848, during one of her well-known walks around Athens. Even today it remains a popular destination and many visitors come outside for its beautiful nature and to visit the Vasilissi Tower as well. This in itself is a special event that he has organized in the past.

The presence of the liquid element in great proportion within the Park, both in the form of six artificial lakes and an artificial channel that connects them, which ensures the uninterrupted flow of water between the lakes and its recycling, as well as the rich flora and fauna . of the Park, make it a unique place of natural beauty, integrated into the residential fabric. Its characteristics are unique for western Athens, but also for the entire Basin.

Relaxing by hiking in nature with your dog is beneficial for both, physically and mentally!

At the same time there will be a lecture-seminar and questions-answers by the dog trainer Petros Sidereas.

Our cooperation with a dog trainer as an outdoor recreation company, this project is implemented in absolute safety on the mountain for both people and dogs!

Participants without a dog are also welcome.

Important: Two (2) free tickets are available for the dogs of the shelters who are living permanently, so that we can give them the opportunity to go for a nice walk! The volunteers of the animal welfare associations should contact us prior registration.

• The use of a flex guide and any type of choke collar is not permitted.
• It is recommended the dog has not eaten for 6-8 hours before the walk.
• We don't forget dog's treats, water, a bowl, favorite toy and bags for dirt.
• Health booklet is considered essential.
