Trekking With Your Dog | Hymettus

On Sunday 7 December Trekking With Your Dog, one of the signature projects of Wanderlust Outdoor Activities & Travel, will take place on Mount Hymettus in the Kaisariani Aesthetic Forest. An experience that brings people and their dogs closer through the joy of hiking.

Wanderlust was the first to introduce organised hikes with dogs in Greece and continues consistently a project that has been embraced by hundreds of participants over the years.

🔶 Activity Description

The project leader is Petros Sidereas, founder of CityZen Dogs and head trainer of the sister project Training With Your Dog. With know how and a clear methodology, he offers guidance and real value in every activity. The experience is also open to participants who join without a dog.

This dog friendly hiking activity has been designed to offer:

• Physical exercise and release in nature for you and your dog
• Quality time together and a stronger human dog bond

• Useful tips on how to handle your dog during a hike

🔶 Social action

Wanderlust offers two free spots for dogs from shelters so that they can also enjoy the hiking experience on the mountain. Volunteers from animal welfare organisations can contact us to express their interest.

• Meeting point Kaisariani Fire Lookout
• Only fixed leashes are allowed and no choke collars
• It is recommended that the dog has not eaten for six to eight hours before the activity
• Updated electronic health booklet required
• Please bring treats, water, bowl, favourite toy and waste bags
